Lower in fat than most meat products and downright tasty with this recipe.
Ingredients:
6 to 8 loin pork chops, one inch thick
1 large egg for dipping chops
2 tbs. water
2 tbs. grated cheese
1 clove garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
1.2 cup olive oil
1 cup of Italian seasoned bread crumbs
Trim any excess fat from around the chop. In a shallow bowl or dish beat egg and combine with the water. In another shallow bowl or dish add seasoned bread crumbs, garlic, grated cheese and salt and pepper. Dip the pork chop in the egg batter using your left hand. Place in the breadcrumbs and with your right hand roll in the mixture. Remove to wax paper. Continue till all the pork chops are ready for frying.
Heat olive oil in a large pan or skillet. Add pork chops to the hot oil and reduce the flame, until well done on both sides. I seen my mom do this with chicken cutlets as well, and it really is quick and easy. Lastly, get the kids to do the dishes.
